Why Nafs?

I'm a Muslim software engineer. I built Nafs because I kept missing prayers due to my own phone. I want to use what I know to build products that bring the Ummah closer to Islam, not distract from it. Nafs is the first of those.

Nafs was built from a simple realisation. The same phone that holds the Quran is the one pulling us away from salah.

Our intention is to give every Muslim a tool that quietly removes distraction when it's time to pray. That is why this app is, and always will be, free.

We do not believe we should be charging anyone to pray on time. Unlike other apps in this space, there are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, no paywalls, and no pressure to sign up. You should never have to pay to remember Allah.

Privacy is not an afterthought. Nafs does not collect your name, your location history, or anything that could identify you. No data leaves your phone. No profiles are built. You are in full control of what the app can access, and you can revoke that at any time. We built it this way on purpose.

If it has been of benefit, please keep the creator of Nafs in your duas.
